The textbook states nominal or ordinal variables ONLY apply to qualitative, and continuous or discrete ONLY apply to quantitative - but this video applies continuous and discrete to qualitative. Assuming the textbook was updated after this video was made?

Question - you list "height of a person" as ratio, but a person can't be zero inches high? And ratio is supposed to have a true zero possible.

I’m confused. In my textbook it says that histogram lines need to be touching or connected because it is quantitative and the width of bars have meaning. Whereas, with a bar graph, the bars do not need to touch since the width of the bars have no special meaning. In your histogram, the bars were not touching. What does this mean?

I am pretty sure that the ANOVA and the t-test are incorrect. They are done on summarized data rather than the original sample data. Notice that low number of degrees of freedom. You have more than five observations of students who studied 3 hours - it is just there are only five distinct values of scores that end up in the pivot table. Sadly, I don't think there is an easy way to perform ANOVA and t-tests using pivot tables.

Hello Dr. Gates, I am not sure if you will reply me here. However, I wanted to ask you if instead of taking squares of all the individual distances, why can we not take the absolute values of each individual distances and then take the mean of all the individual values. When I did this for the above dataset in the video, I got a std deviation( may be this is not a correct word for this), of 10.75 which is lower than the regular standard deviation of 13.26. I will try to google my question. Thanks!
